About CoochieIsland.com

CoochieIsland.com (also accessible as CoochiemudloIsland.com.au and CoochieIsland.com.au) is Coochiemudlo Island’s community website.

The site has been created to enable Coochie residents, visitors and others who have a connection with the island and its residents, past and present, to share and exchange information and experiences, and to connect and engage with each other.  Finally, but not least, the website provides an avenue for the celebration, recognition and showcasing of the multitude of talents and achievements of everyone in this community.

CoochieIsland.com provides a space for members of the Coochiemudlo Island community to:

  • Highlight and celebrate their achievements and contributions, as well as the personal milestones in their lives;
  • Exchange and share information and insights on practical day-to-day matters in island living;
  • Discuss and debate issues — as well as act on these issues! — that have a long-term impact on island living and the island’s character; and
  • Express themselves in their own ways for personal and professional development.

CoochieIsland.com has been created and is controlled by PortalStreet P/L, a micro business specialising in e-enabling communities, micro enterprise development and affordable e-business solutions.  PortalStreet, now based in metro Brisbane, previously operated on Coochie.  The original creation of the CoochieIsland.com site in 2005 was motivated by its own desire to support and give back to the Coochie community the best way it can.
