The Coochiemudlo Island History Society was formed in 2000 to collect, preserve, record and display information and items relating to the Island. The Redland Shire Council has provided the History Room under the Community Hall.
The Society is pleased to assist persons wishing to access its records; please contact the Secretary. It is keen to expand membership, and also welcomes persons who can help with projects such as preserving and displaying artefacts.
The Society participates in Market Days and the re-enactment of Flinders’ landing. In March the Society organises an event to celebrate Matthew Flinders’ birthday.
